Anyone who is entrusted to be a leader in any organization must be honest, ethical and reasonable because the alternative is likely to cause severe pain to that person.

Dare to be different. Be impeccable.

We only have one reputation. We must do what is necessary to keep it intact. Being dishonest with yourself or others is the quickest way to lose face and credibility. Dishonesty is short lived and overrated. Sooner or later, a dishonest person gets caught. As the popular saying goes, It’s like Vegas, “The house always wins.”

Choose character before dishonesty.

Unethical behaviors dent a person’s name which unequivocally impacts a person’s ability to maneuver and advance in organizations. The worse kinds of unethical persons are the predator types, especially the sexual. The good news is that this bunch are eventually humbled by the Lord at his or her own demise.

Despise the unethical. Embrace integrity and high levels of morality.

Unreasonable acts committed by questionable people breeds discontent and tends to backfire at random moments. Remember: Nobody is perfect. We are all a work in progress. Be reasonable, accept that, and move on.

There is always someone better the you.

As Spider-Man’s stepdad once said, “The more the power, the more the responsibility.” As a leader, we are called to be different, to be impeccable, to have character, be honest, and have integrity along with high levels of morality.

It’s what we are called to do. Let’s do it!
