The Bible is a great book that teaches us many important life lessons worth sharing. Take for example the lesson on repetition found in Isaiah 28:10. “For it is: Do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that; a little here, a little there.”

A condition that we all should engage in to do God’s will.

Teaching through repetition and gradually building a pragmatic knowledge base is indeed a process that is directly related to the art of learning. As a college professor, I instill step-by-step instruction to my students in a way to assist them with acquiring knowledge and understanding.

A Lair Ribeiro, a Brazilian cardiologist and self-help writer, once said, we are what we reject. Never during my youth did I think I would become a college professor as an adult. Yet, here I am. Repetition is one of the tactics that I use to communicate what they must to do apply what they learned.

Differently from the agricultural age, where land determined wealth, or the industrial age, where capital meant wealth… we live in the age of knowledge, or the knowledge age, where a person is either rich or poor in knowledge — A type of knowledge that is only valid if you apply it and share it with others in the form of dialogue, also defined by Ribeiro.

Listen carefully to this: Communication has become essential for personal and professional success. Before communication is emotional (hits the heart), it must pass through the brain first. I hope We don’t need to repeat this.

For it is: Do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that; a little here, a little there.” Repeat!
