Merry Christmas to you! What a blessing it is to have God, I say. Hope and mercy we get by following Him, indeed. And rest.

When I was in graduate school, my advisor once told me directly, “Sometimes resting is working.” As I’m heading to my 17th year working as a college professor, I can attest to anyone that Ali was right.

Overworks can kill and most definitely burn a hard working person out, regardless of his profession, age, nationality or creed… which is why God wisely created the sabbath, or the day of rest.

We need it! It’s part of life and a necessity. Responsible professionals understand and realize that unwinding is part of the working processes. Fortunate are those who understand this important concept.
